Do Handsome Hunks Look Hotter In Black And White?

Loading...I have a friend (yay me!) who loves black and white photography, and art. He has a few walls in his home covered with some really interesting photos and paintings, all in monochrome. I have to admit it looks impressive, and he has good taste.
Another one of my friends sent me a black and white photo of a gorgeous hunk this morning and I decided to go out there and find a good collection of sexy men being enticing in black and white photography while asking you what you think it is about the lack of color that interests so many.
I've asked other people before and the general consensus seems to be that it "looks classier", whatever that means. I wonder if it's a kind of societal programming created by the black and white movies of the past. Could it be possible that we just love black and white images so much because we've associated it with old movies which we see as "more artistic" or "classy"?

One of the upsides of B&W photography — and professionals will acknowledge this fact — is that it covers a lot of sins. If your skin isn’t silky smooth and it is full of blemishes, B&W is your best bet for an image that minimizes those flaws. But, yeah, most of these models are good, very good, either way.
As an art photographer who shoots men in both color and B&W neither is “better” they just function differently. B&W images emphasize textures and light. Color photos defines objects by color and are frequently about color. Good photographers will make a conscious choice between the two depending on the subject and or what their own artistic vision is looking too emphasize.
