I bet most of you have had that debate about what decade was the best. I know I have, countless times. One thing that always seems to define how someone might answer that question is the music of the era. People who say the '70s was the best will bring up Bowie, Led Zeppelin and disco. For the '80s people talk about pop music, with Madonna and Springsteen the most prominent. And then we get to the '90s, which I think we all agree was probably defined by grunge music, Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Alice In Chains.

I will always answer that the '90s was the decade for me, and I think it's because of the music and the age I was. It was a pivotal time in my life, discovering sex, drugs and rock and roll :)

One of the most influential artists of that decade, for me, aside from the grunge bands mentioned, was the lesser-known Jeff Buckley. If you know who I'm talking about you'll probably look at these photos of an anonymous model from that era and recognize the similarities.

These photos, according to the friend who sent them to me, are of a guy called David, and they were taken by a photographer going by the name of Ian Macleish.

This young man oozes '90s style and attitude, doesn't he? He looks like 90% of the guys I had a major boner for when I was that age, with their Doc Marten boots and their flannel shirts, lanky hair and seriously moody expression.

Of course it does help that this handsome young man looks so much like Jeff Buckley, too.

Enjoy him, and let me know in the comments what you think the best decade was. Does it depend on the music, the years you became an adult, or both?

Have a great Friday!
