Okay guys, I'm gonna need your comments on this photo shoot featuring handsome and hunky Michael J. Obeten.

You all know I like a peculiar theme, something unusual and interesting, but every now and then I see one that slips right over my head and I'm left wondering what the narrative was supposed to be.

I almost passed by this shoot because there's only five photos, but Michael J. Obeten grabbed my attention and I was pretty certain you guys would want to see him. And then I paid a little more attention to the props and the styling and I was left befuddled and bemused.

Is there a slight foot fetish theme photographer Salvatore Coluccia is going for here? Is it a comment on gender? Did they just grab a shoe from an assistant and add it to the mix?

I honestly have no idea, but I do like the dramatic feel of it all and the theatrical feeling I get from it.

I think this is the first time we've seen Obeten, but I've added him to my list and I'm going to be looking for more of him out there.

Let me know in the comments what you think, and hit that thumbs-up button too! Have a great Wednesday :)

Leaving aside my usual snarky comments about the body ink, I have to say this whole set up is a real turn off. Fortunately, Conran doesn’t feature these type of photo essays often. This is a site for MEN after all.

But, for me, enough with the artistic themes to play homage to a man’s feminine side. If I could, I would KILL that side, for good.

The ink, the props, the “fierce” expression, the jazz hands… it’s all way too basic and prissy. Killer physique though.

You seem like you have some issues, @iamcurious62. Deep-rooted and unhealthy ideas of what constitutes as masculine, perhaps? It’s a shame to see comments from any man wishing to kill femininity. You should reflect on that, as should gay men in general.
