Classic Nude Model Johnny Stumps

You guys know I have a real love for classic male nude photography from the era of Athletic Model Guild, the work of the brave photographers of that time always amazes me and I always think they're so underrated when it comes to the decades-long fight for equality and rights. Some guys completely overlook leading names in the movement back then, men like Pat Milo, Bruce of LA and Bob Mizer. They did a lot, maybe it was behind the scenes and somewhat underground, but their work forced a change in discussion and eventually changes in law. Can you imagine if we were currently on an internet where images of nude women were perfectly fine but images of naked men was illegal? That's how it was for a long time in the US, and elsewhere. Many of the men who posed for photos back then remain unknown. Most of them were athletes and bodybuilders on the competitive circuits in New York, California and other major cities, and they often remain completely anonymous. But, every now and then a name appears and we get to appreciate them again. That's true of Johnny Stumps. He was a handsome and buff young man who posed several times for several photographers of the 1950's, and these are just some of the results of those shoots. I love them, just for their simplicity and innocence. When you look at "erotica" of today, while we appreciate the full-on fun it really is a remarkable difference.
