The Beautiful Photography Of Troy Schooneman

This is another one of those times where I can't believe we've never seen this before. I just discovered Troy Schooneman for the first time and I think I might have to start buying some prints. If you know anything about me (and let's be honest, you should after so many years!) I love art. I studied art myself, I paint regularly, so when I see something that really strikes a chord with me on an artistic level, and it happens to involve handsome men, you can bet I'll be sharing it on the Gay Body Blog. This photography is beautiful, truly remarkable. I spent a long time studying classical portraiture when I was a student and this took me right back to that. These portraits genuinely look like oil on canvas classics from centuries past, and the models really seem to support that impression in their own style in many cases. I love the mix of modern technique with classical style and Troy Schooneman really has pulled that off expertly, creating some of the most impressive images. Although I love all of the models appearing here, I do have a favorite. Muscled young Irishman Darragh Carroll looks amazing in his images, and those are the ones I'm starting with.
