I can't believe I have only just discovered the work of photographer Andrea Galad. His images are incredible, stunning, amazing, and I hope all those reading this who have at least one artistic bone in their body will appreciate this as much as I do right now.
I spent some time looking through some of his other work this morning, but I knew this collection of photos needed to be on the Gay Body Blog.
It's not only sexy, not only beautiful and not only incredibly visual, it's all done with a serious point and intention behind it.
Andrea Galad has been protesting the demolition of a historically significant factory in Rovereto in northern Italy, his hometown.
The Alumetal factory has stood there since construction began in 1926, and although it's been left to fall apart since the 90's it's a stunning location for a shoot like this one. There's an incredible religious feel to this even though it's a former metalworks.
The series is called Holy Ghost, and although I'm only sharing a little of it here what I have seen so far has me hooked. Then again, you all know that my artistic mind often leads me to shoots with this kind of contrast of flesh and dereliction.
I hope you don't mind my little foray into the artistic now and then. The models are gorgeous in this location, but the whole theme of this one is pretty striking.
I really love that space.. how’s about we give a private party for readers only Conran??
