Vintage Style Modeling With Peter Williams
Sorry, but I need to get a little bit arty on your asses after seeing this vintage style modeling from Peter Williams and Wilf Photography.
Some of you might know I studied art a long time ago. When I was just starting out, I had a thing for drawing some of the most famous statues. There was something about that classical style that really appealed to me.
It was a great way to learn anatomy, the placement of muscles, how they overlapped and where the highlights and shadows would naturally fall.
So, when I saw these photos of Peter Williams I was reminded of a lot of those drawings back then.
It looks like they've intentionally aimed to be reminiscent of those old marble, but they could also be emulating the classic physique shoots from back in the 1950s, which were themselves inspired a lot by classical sculpture and art.
Perhaps not surprisingly, when I looked for more information about Peter I discovered he's actually a fine art model. He's probably used to posing like this for live classes.
He's also an interior designer, and something tells me he might have an affinity for the baroque.
This is the first time we've seen this Danish/American model here on the blog, and I'm not sure why.
If these are the kinds of shoots he appears in I think we might need to see a little more.
Enjoy the vintage style modeling and classical theme. Let me know in the comments what you think.
See you back here tomorrow for more!
