Vintage Nude Hunks By Doug Juleff, AKA Douglas of Detroit

You know we've enjoyed checking out some vintage nude hunks by photographers from back in the 50s and 60s before, but I have to admit Doug Juleff was a new name for me.

I've read about the Athletic Model Guild, Bob Mizer, and Jim French. The whole "Brylcreem aesthetic" really appeals to me so I've enjoyed a lot of those pics from back then.

Somehow, "Doug of Detroit" never came up in any of my research.

Clearly, these images show that he was very much a part of that scene. He was out there taking nude photos of gorgeous men striking poses, solo and together.

I've focused mainly on the duo poses for this post, because I love seeing that kind of casual nudity between guys back then. It's so much harder to find with the modern man, because so many men seem to have become prudes about it.

Maybe that's one of the reasons we all love these classic scenes so much?

Urinals have dividers, open showers are increasingly replaced by cramped little cubicles, dudes are so concerned about the notion of their dick being seen by a stranger. Heaven forbid, a guy might even like the look of it! What are you to do in that situation? lol

So, these vintage nude hunks showing off remind us of a simpler time, when guys weren't so timid.

I know a lot of you will enjoy them as much as I have.
