Model Showcase: Dorian Fetish Nudes from DNA Magazine

There was great response to the many typs of images and models that were part of my introduction as a new collaborator and contributor to the site. This is one of those times where I will post a follow up to those introductory images so fans can appreciate in-depth coverage of the model's work with the photographer.

I was deeply appreciative to see DNA Magazine honor my work with so many pages of dedicated real estate to this fetish theme pictorial featuring Dorian, one of my favvorite models who instinctively always comes up with the right pose and expression for each image. He is uninhibted in front of the camera, the poses come naturally to him as he inhabits a character from the minimal instructions and concept I provided for the shoot.

Because of the dramatic lighting I used to add more mystery to the theme, many of the images looked better in Black& White and the profesional staff at DNA Magazine were able to preserve the settings I used for chiaroscuro contrast and the printed images looked beautiful with the page of the magazine without losing any of the details of composition I had specifically set for the difficult lighting on this series of images.

As one of the exclusive perks to Gay Body Blog Readers, I haave linked many images to the original color version whenever available. Both versions achieve artistic look and mood I had envisioned and maybe some combination of both color and black & white images would make the best impression. Ultimately I would like the viewer to make that choice.

These last three images are supersoaked with contrast and color which is a departure from my usual images. They also present the model as particularly masculine and confident in showing off his body. They were sent to the editors at Playgirl Magazine to gauge their interest in having Dorian featured as a covermodel or centerfold. They were definitely interested and used the photos an a Discovery Man promo for teasing an upcoming photoshoot with a new model.

Unfortunately, we were not able to work together to make that project happen, but remain grateful to Dorian for these beautiful, sexy and fun images that would have been a milestone issue for the Magazine in some way.

I was glad to know that two years later, Dorian aka Morgan was able to connect with one of Playgirl's regular contributing photographers, Gren Weiner, who was able to shoot a pictorial that was featured both in print and online.
