Apa’s character Jack crosses paths with the flick’s main protagonist - a recently single American college student named Heather traveling across Europe with her girl besties - on a train to Spain. Jack and Heather have an immediate connection, and when fate brings them together again at a bar, they decide to link up for their journeys. The unconventional Jack is following a path across Europe mapped out by his grandfather in a leatherbound notebook. But the carefree Jack is sitting on a big secret that will change Heather forever.
