Undressing Fitness Models – Ryan Yule Edition

Ryan Yule's many years of success as a fitness model is not surprising although it remains a mystery to me. As I mentioned in Part 1, fitness models must possess a sculpted physique that is able to inspire others with its perfection. In order to be competitive, chiseled good looks are another basic requirement. Early in his career, Ryan Yule's body was not particularly muscular nor well-defined. His facial features were not refined or exceptional, and his one saving grace were his captivating baby blue eyes. He sported closely trimmed beard early on to help define and contour his round baby-face. Over the years, his looks would change drastically but the beard and baby blue eyes would remain and became a part of his signature look.

Ryan's physique did improve when he was finally able to shed his body of the baby fat, but it took several years to get there. Meanwhile, it was painfully obvious in group photoshoots that Ryan was not in the same league as other fitness models Ben Dudman, Vincent Azzopardi, and Scott Hastings. No doubt it was by design that Ryan was the only model who was posed faced down and relegated to the very edge of the photo where he was subjected to bad lighting and cropping. Just as well he avoided comparison to his colleague's ripped physique, because Ryan was also the least endowed of the group.

Some time following this group image, we begin to slowly see a progression toward getting lean and targeted sculpting of muscle groups. By the time the last two images with Scott Hastings were taken, his stunning body transformation was finally complete. His deep cuts and proportions were so well defined, his presence overshadowed the taller, more endowed workout buddy standing next to him.

After having analyzed each image capturing Ryan's journey to achieve physical perfection, I realize that no single photo nor collection of images could capture Ryan's innate sex appeal. It is an elusive quality that only shows up on video.
