Introducing Photographer Roger Nguyen

We are pleased to introduce Photographer Roger Nguyen as a Special Contributor in a new and ongoing collaboration with Gay Body Blog! Roger made his mark 20 years ago with iconic images of male nude and erotic portraits.  Many of his timeless captures were celebrated as works of Fine Art and featured alongside world-renowned photographers in several coffee table book collections published by Bruno-Gmunder and Taschen.

In 2007, Roger relocated from San Francisco to New York to pursue a lucrative career in corporate operations.  His portraits of Jakub Stefano in 2008 would mark his first time working with a professional model, and the start of a 15-year hiatus from shooting male nude portraits and erotica.

In 2023, Roger began a gradual return to photographing men, expanding his talents to include in men's fashion, fitness, and beauty in addition to his signature male nudes and erotica.  Gay Body Blog is pleased to be the primary platform showcasing uncensored versions of the photographer's new works which will be featured in our next blog entry.

The images below are from the photographer's portfolio prior to 2007.  They represent a mastery of lighting, artististic elegance, and beautifully balanced composition.  A common element which makes these early images unique and highly collectible is the amateur status of each model at the time of the photoshoot.  Most models worked exclusively with Roger.  While other models with recognizable faces would make their nude debut in their first ever photoshoot with Roger.  Models Blu Kennedy, Justin, Mathew, and Dorian are among those whose first time appearing nude in front of the camera were captured by Roger Nguyen.
