Going Retro With Photographer Serge Lee

Is it just my imagination or is the Polaroid coming back into fashion? I'm certainly not complaining, not when it's in the hands of a creative genius like Serge Lee.

Shoots like this one can only serve to hasten that return of the brand too, in my opinion.

For those who like to go a little retro, this shoot is going to get your attention, and rightly so. Serge has gathered some twinks and some hunky jocks for this collection called simply Men on Polaroids, showing off in some very sexy poses.

I'm about the right age to really appreciate when the Polaroid was around the first time, and arguing with siblings over how many shots were left and who should have the right to take them... it's funny how tech has developed to make all that so laughable now.

Serge has used the retro equipment so well in this series. It's simple, raw, gritty and sexy as hell, and the guys he's chosen to feature are all so sexy too.

I do love interesting shoots like this, they grab my attention so much more than the normal mainstream modeling shots we get every day of the week from so many other photographers and brands in the world.

Correct me if I’m wrong: wasn’t it L.Gaga@ 3-4 years ago showed up at the Las Vegas IT convention that’s going on now. When she goes out to parties, people used to ask for a pic / autograph .. She wanted something that she could pull out of her bag.. She approached Poloroid and thus a pocket sized camera was born.. I know I saw that story on YouTube & she had something to do with it coming back.. It really was discontinued before she came up with the idea.. The other thing is Poloroids are one time use and can’t be stored on a cloud unless copied

Thanks
Tony
